Only a day to go….

Tomorrow is the big event of my fundraising effort – a marathon from Clapham Common to Box Hill in Surrey. When I planned the run I didn’t know I’d be wading through slush and snow, but there you are… It will merely add to the interest.
It’s not too late to support me – I’m 77% of the way to my target. Just another push will get me there.

Sitting in front of my laptop in Lashkar Gah (in the Helmand province of Afghanistan) it’s not difficult to explain why I’m doing this: in order to celebrate the memory of Cecilia Snell who died of breast cancer just over 10 years ago. I cannot overstate what an excellent campaign this is. I have decided to celebrate Cecilia’s memory by running from Clapham Common to her childhood home in Westhumble, in the shadow of Box Hill.
