- Do you have a love and knowledge of a certain food or drink? Hold a Tasting party. Whether it is wine, chocolate or cheese – cater it around your passion.
- Odd job day – go around your local community and complete odd jobs for donations.
- Create your own fashion shOw. It could have a theme, be specifically for children’s fashion or a huge theatrical production!
- Have a ‘Movie Night’ with friends – a themed night around your favourite film. Dress up as your favourite movie characters and have themed food and music.
- Auction of Promises – offer goods or services to be auctioned for a contribution, to friends, family, neighbours and colleagues.
- Hold a teddy bears picNic for the little one’s in your life. Host it in your local park, woodland or garden. Have classic children’s games, face painting and fun refreshments and ask for contributions from parents.
- Murder MysterY Party – organise it in your local stately home or in a beautiful garden during the summer months. Create the whole evening around the characters involved and the story of the murder. Ask for a suggested donation from your guests.
- Host a dinner party with a ‘Come Dine With Me’ concept.
- Get sponsOred to do anything that takes your fancy; a sponsored walk, a sponsored knitathon, a sponsored hair dye, get sponsored to give up something you love or get sponsored to take up something you hate…the list is endless.
- PaMper evening – ask for donations for providing facials, massages, manicures and pedicures for those loved ones in your life who lead a busy and hectic lifestyle.
- Familiar with Ebay? Try selling your unwanted treasures at home – you almost don’t have to lift a finger and can raise huge amounts as the bidding war begins.
- AfterNoon Tea, make it as traditional or as innovative as you like – tea, finger sandwiches and scones or cosmopolitans, canapés and cupcakes.
£500 over one year works out as £1.37 a day, less than your morning latte, one tube ride or your lunchtime soup.
