Later this year (date tbc) visit the Fulham Road Research Centre and see where the money you raise will be going. This will also be a great opportunity to meet your felllow TMW Ambassadors & Associates and find out what weird and wonderful fundraising plans everyone has!
TMW is raising money for the UK’s first dedicated breast cancer research centre on London’s Fulham Road.
Established in 1999, and now celebrating its 10th anniversary, the Breakthrough Breast Cancer Research Centre is our largest hub of scientific excellence, housing over 120 world-class scientists and clinicians. It undertakes diverse research, from understanding the genetics of breast cancer and how cancers grow and spread, through to developing new, more effective treatments and, ultimately, finding ways to prevent the disease.
Later this year you’ll be invited to join us on an inspirational tour of the centre and see first-hand where the money you raise is going. The tour begins with a talk from the director of the centre and world-renowned scientist, Professor Alan Ashworth who will tell you about the incredible research Breakthrough is doing. You will then be shown around the centre by the scientists, seeing first-hand the experiments and equipment your money will be funding.
