Plan a lovely walk around your local area for the Autumn months. This could culminate in an Autumn Food Feast back at your house or a local pub. Be sponsored to walk a certain number of miles or ask friends to donate to attend.
Potential income: £200 each or £2000 per team of 10

Bike Ride
Turn your pedal power into pound-raising power and hold your own sponsored bike ride. If you don’t own a bike then you could hold a sponsored bike-a-thon at your local gym.
Top Tip: You could hold your sponsored bike ride at the same time as the Tour de France as this will help to generate more interest in your own challenge. The Tour de France will be taking place this year from the 3 – 25 July and we have even put together a sweepstake for you (See the Tour de France Sweepstake Fundraiser below).
Potential income: £400 each or £4000 per team of 10

Bonfire / Fireworks Evening
November provides a great opportunity to fundraise with Bon Fire Night on the 5th. Hold your own Guy Forkes evening with charcoaled sausages, spicy beans and hearty jacket potatoes. You could hold a ‘Best Guy’ Competition at the same time and ask people to donate to take part.
Potential income: £500 each or at least your £5K target per team of 10
Note: Please be very very careful when planning where to do this and make sure any fireworks or bonfires are done responsibly.

Cake Sale
Hold a Cake Sale at work a few afternoons over the rest of the year. You could coincide the cake sale with Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October and make every cake pink and pretty! To give the cake sale a bit of a twist, why not promote it as a ‘Bake Off’ and ask all the keen bakers you know to put their skills to the test. All the cakes will then be judged by the office ‘food critics’!
Potential income: £200 each or £2000 per team of 10

Car Washing
Washing cars for friends, family, at your local supermarket or your office car park is a great way to raise your money.
Top Tip: Try approaching your local fire station about holding a charity car wash on their forecourt. If you tell them all about Too Many Women and our aim to raise a million pounds, they might even volunteer to be car washers themselves!
Potential income: £100 each or £1000 per team of 10

Christmas Dinner Party
Plan a Christmas Feast for December and invite your friends and family along. You could ask everyone to bring a dish or item, e.g. crackers, a party game, desert etc. Every one then makes a donation to attend.
Potential income: £300 each or £3000 per team of 10

Christmas Cheese Hamper
Find a group of people to involve and ask each person to donate a different kind of cheese to fill the hamper. Once completed display the hamper at your workplace, or you could take a photo of it and email it to everyone you know. People can then make a donation of your choice to be entered into the Hamper Draw for the chance to win it and all its amazing goodies!
Potential income: £150 each or £1500 per team of 10

Cricket Tournament
Get your friends or work-place together for a Cricket Tournament! Everyone donates to take part and you could keep it simple by holding it at your local park. More funds could be raised by offering post-match refreshments in return for donations.
Potential income: £200 each or £2000 per team of 10

Dog Walking
If you’re a dog-lover then this could be the perfect excuse for you to get outside, enjoy something you love and raise your £500. Get in touch with everyone you know that owns a dog and put an ad up in your local vets, shops and businesses in your area advertising your services and fee.
Top Tip: Make sure you mention that you will be donating your dog walking cost to Too Many Women as this may give you an edge over any competition!
Potential income: £100 each or £1000 per team of 10

Dress-Down Day
Ask your work if you could hold a dress-down day at work with all donations coming to TMW. You could even theme it. For example, wearing something beach-themed, be it flip flops, sun hats, sunglasses, Hawaiian shorts, you name it! Everyone makes a donation to wear something a little bit fun and different to bring a bit of ’summer-holiday’ sunshine into the office. For those that don’t take part, there could be an ‘imposed’ punishment donation! Or maybe even a prize for the bravest person – anyone up for wearing their swimsuit?! Alternatively, make it a Pink Dress Day and hold it during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.
Potential income: £300 each or £3000 per team of 10

EBay your unwanted items
Collect together all your unwanted items, be it clothes, books or your childrens’ old toys and sell them on EBay with 100% of the money being donated to TMW. You could even ask friends and family whether they’d be willing to off-load their unwanted junk for you to sell towards your fundraising target. After all, one man’s junk is another man’s treasure!
Potential income: £100 each or £1000 per team of 10

Family Trust
If you have a Family Trust or a member of your family has a Charitable Trust Account, then why not ask them if they would like to make a donation to TMW?
Potential income: £200 each or £2000 per team of 10

Fine Wine Evening
Get your friends together for a civilised evening of wine-tasting. Ask everyone to bring a bottle and make a donation to attend the evening. You’ll entice them by the great mixture if wines on offer! You could even ask a local deli if they would be willing to provide cheese and olives at a discounted price or for free in return for promoting their business at your event. Why not extend this to asking a local wine shop to donate a bottle as an auction / raffle or competition prize?
Potential income: £1000 each or at least your £5K target per team of 10

Garden BBQ
The chances are that at some point this summer you’ll hold your own Garden BBQ – So why not make your fundraising easy and ask people to make a donation to come along and enjoy this great British summer past-time with you?!
Potential income: £1000 each or at least your £5K target per team of 10

Golf Tournament
Ask people to donate to take part in the Tournament. You could keep it fun by putting together your own back-garden crazy golf course or keep it serious and ask your local Club if they would be willing to lend out their course for an afternoon – or even put on their own charity tournament!
Potential income: £1000 each or at least your £5K target per team of 10

Halloween Party Or Scary Movie Night
Many of us hold a Halloween Party anyway and most people want to attend one, so why not use this to your advantage by making it a fundraiser? Ask people to donate to attend your party. It could be a small, intimate, house-party, or you could look into hiring a local hall or venue. Hold a best fancy dress competition, impose a forfeit donation to people who don’t dress-up and get everyone taking part in scary games! You could ask people to make an extra donation for a Scary Cocktail or some Scary Food! Alternatively, if you want to keep it a bit more civilised, invite a select group of friends and family round to your house for a Halloween Meal and Fright Night Movie with everyone donating to attend.
Potential income: £1000 each or at least your £5K target per team of 10

Mini Olympics / Sports Day
For all the sporty ones among you a Mini Olympics or Summer Sports Day is the perfect opportunity to get some exercise and raise some money! Ask people to make a donation to come along and enter the competition. For the less athletic or time-poor amongst you, why not hold your own version of the Olympic events, such as limbo instead of the high jump and elastic band pinging instead of the long jump!
Potential income: £200 each or £2000 per team of 10

New Year Party
Venues sell-out very quickly for New Year bashes, so why not make the most of this and plan your own New Years Eve Party and ask people to donate to attend.
Potential income: £2000 each or at least your £5K target per team of 10

Quiz Night
Everyone loves a quiz and you can hold one all year round and with no excuse needed! Ask your local pub if they would let you use their quiz night entry money one evening for your fundraising as long as you source a sufficient prize for the quiz winner. Depending on how involved the pub are willing to get, you could also ask that they turn one of their usual drinks into a TMW drink and charge an extra £1, with the £1 being donated to TMW.
Potential income: £200 each or £2000 per team of 10

Summer Hamper
This is a brilliant fundraiser as it’s easy to organise and will appeal to lots of people. Choose a theme for your Hamper. This could be a Picnic Hamper made-up of summery food and drink, a Beach Hamper filled with all things fit for the sea and sand, such as flip-flops, a book, sunglasses etc, or a Wimbledon or Sporting Hamper, whatever theme you like! Then find a group of people to involve and ask each person to donate a gift to fill the hamper. Once completed display the hamper at your workplace, or you could take a photo of it and email it to everyone you know. People can then make a donation of your choice to be entered into the Hamper Draw for the chance to win it and all its amazing goodies!
Potential income: £150 each or £1500 per team of 10

Pimms in the Park
What says English Summertime more than an iced-cold jug of Pimms?!
Turn this English Summertime tradition into a money-maker by holding your very own ‘Pimms in the Park’ fundraiser. Invite your friends to donate to join you in lovely surroundings, whether this is a private garden, local park or your own backyard and ask that everyone brings along a different fruit/ingredient to add to the jug. This is a fundraising activity everyone can enjoy!
Potential income: £1000 each or at least your £5K target per team of 10

Sponsored River Walk / Trivial Knowledge River Race
Hold a sponsored family walk along the River Thames on a lovely sunny day. For the more adventurous among you, turn it into a Trivial Knowledge River Race! Divide yourselves into 2 teams (or as many as you like) and give all the teams a Q & A sheet which they have to complete. Questions could be something like, ‘What is the name of the pub next to Putney Bridge?’ or ‘How many bridges do you pass before reaching the Tower of London?’ Each team donates to enter the game, so the more teams you have the better!
Potential income: £200 each or £2000 per team of 10

Rugby / Rounders Match
Get your sporty friends together to hold a sponsored Rugby Match. You could ask your work place to get involved, with the Management Team against the rest of the employees, or if you work at a school then the Teachers against the Pupils! Alternatively, why not ask 2 local teams if they wouldn’t mind holding a charity match? You could ask people to donate to come and watch, ask the teams to donate to take part and could raise a bit of extra money by selling home-made food at half-time and after the match and cleaning the players boots in return for a donation!
Potential income: £500 each or at least your £5K target per team of 10

Strawberry Tea
Get your friends together for a lovely strawberry tea afternoon and ask that everyone donates to attend. You could hold this in your home, on the patio, in the garden or at your local church, club or community hall depending on how many people you plan to invite. Top Tip: You could ask a collection of friends who like to bake to make some cakes and treats to sell at the strawberry tea, or have stalls selling arts & crafts, with all money raised (or a donation from each stall holder) going towards your fundraising target.
Potential income: £500 each or at least your £5K target per team of 10

Teddy Bear’s Picnic
This is something for all the family! Organise a picnic in the park with friends and family and all the kids. Everyone brings along their old (or new!) Teddy and an addition for the Picnic as well as making a donation to attend. Top Tip: Why not ask if your local Play Group or Nursery wants to get involved?
Potential income: £100 each or £1000 per team of 10

Tennis Tournament
Get your sporty friends together to hold a sponsored Tennis Tournament. You could ask your work place to get involved, with the Management Team against the rest of the employees, or if you work at a school then the Teachers against the Pupils! Teams donate to enter the Tournament. You could ask for extra donations by offering Pimms or Stawberries & Cream at the Tournament.
Potential income: £100 each or £1000 per team of 10
