Below are all the fundraising events and activities that have taken place already.
March 2012:
Davina Bosanquet held a Wonderland Party on the 2 March from 7 pm – 2 am at The Secret Garden, Battersea with DJs, raffles and games.
There were no tickets, donations on the door and fundraisers on the night were to raise money for Too Many Women.
December:
On the 17 December, the last TMW event of the year (!) happened. A ‘Wild Winter’ Party which was organised by Anthony & Becks Becher. The party was a brilliant success and raised £2,796!
On Tuesday 13 December Arabella Dunn and Samantha Shaw held their second Carols By Candlelight at Christ Church, from 7.25 pm. The event raised an amazing £4,926
On Tuesday 6 December our end-of-campaign celebration party took place at the wonderful Patrick Mavros Store on the Fulham Road. On the 1 December an amazing £45,000 was donated to the Too Many Women campaign by Leon Max after his dinner & dance at Claridges! Not only was this an incredible and generous donation but the amount also meant the campaign could reach its phenomenal £1million target!

Once again, Too Many Women benefitted from the special preview night of Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park on Thursday 17 November. Instead of paying for the rides they were all free and the one-off ticket price went straight to charity. Half to The Royal Parks Foundation and half to Too Many Women. So far over £2,000 has been raised through this event this year (adding to the £2,500 raised from it last year!)
On the 9 November Too Many Women Ambassador Thomasina Miers held a Mexican Feast at her Soho Restaurant Wahaca and raised £5,000!
Robin Kennedyheld a gig on the 2 November to raise his Ambassador target.
October:
On the 13th October an amazing autumnal dinner and party was held at the gorgeous Petersham Nurseries, raising an incredible £130,500. Thank you to all who supported the event, including our sponsors All Saints & Vault Couture, and of course to all our wonderful guests that helped make this phenomenal amount raised for Breakthrough Breast Cancer possible. It was a very special and very memorable night. July:

Ros Milani Gallieniheld a Yoga Session in Hyde Park on Saturday 2nd July from 9.30 am until 11 am. Smatts Poloheld an auction on the 2nd July to raise funds for Too Many Women. Last year they raised £4,500 from a similar event!
Jo Miller & Adi Cookhosted a very special Ralph Lauren Wimbledon Summer Party on the 21st June at the Ralph Lauren Fulham Road store from 6.30 pm – 9.00 pm for the ‘young and young at heart’. Pimms, champagne, strawberries and other delightful summery treats were on offer (all kindly sponsored by Ralph Lauren) and tickets for the Men’s Singles Finals Match at Wimbledon were auctioned off raising an amazing £3,750.15% of sales on the night will also be donated to TMW as will sales in any TMW store whereby people quote ‘Too Many Women’.Take a look at the Photo Board for photos of the event.

Chrissie Elworthy, Alexandra Fairman & Alice Smithorganised a fantastic kids fancy dress scooter race in Battersea Park for the 9th June with 28 kids collecting a minimum of £50 each in sponsorship. There were prizes, medals, face-painters and balloon artists as well as a picnic! The event was a HUGE success and they have so far raised over £6,000! The event was very kindly supported by Microscooters, Dorling Kindersley Books and the company Gable. Photos can be seen on the photo board. Amber Athertonplanned a launch event on the 7th of June for her jewellery collection ‘Monsoon Palace’ in collaboration with Alexander Davis. They have designed a bespoke ring specifically for Too Many Women, which they will be auctioning soon.

Sophie Tollemache and Francesca Sloan hosted a pub quiz on Tuesday 31st May at The Hurlingham pub on Wandsworth Bridge Rd, with tickets costing £5 per person.
Sophie Fyfe-Jamieson and Willa Coulmanorganised a ‘Campival Weekender’ in May in Sussex for a group of their friends. Tickets cost £55 each and included camping in a private field, barbeque dinner, cooked breakfast, camp-fires, beach activities and lots of fun and games!

They showed their audience how to dress their hair and wear their hats for all those weddings and events they will be attending throughout the coming months.There was also a raffle and a chance to win all sorts of amazing prizes including a free Cut and Style from Sejour, a stay in a London hotel and a Gabriela Ligenza hat!

Nathalie Burgenheld an Alternative Royal Wedding Party on the 29th April at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Hong Kong and raised £7,678! Photos of the event can be seen on the Photo Board.
Harry Becher, James Chapman-Andrews, Nick Aikens, Anthony Becher, Rupert Westmacott, Numa Heathcote, Hwfa Gwyn, Tom Rapacioli, Bertie Thomson, Alastair Balfour and Conrad Gambell ran a collective 288.2 miles in the Paris Marathon on the 10th April for Too Many Women! They have so far raised an absolutely AMAZING amount of £18,625 and donations are still coming in!They celebrated their success with a party on Wednesday 20th April at 86 Fulham Road. Katie Henderson&Millie Warnerheld a ‘Safari Swaparama’ Dinner on the 26th March with a ‘walk on the wildside’ dress code! Tickets cost £55 each and included a 3 course dinner cooked by professional chefs, coktails, wine and taxis! This incredible night raised an amazing £1,000 and was very kindly sponsored by Smatts, Tails Cocktails and Lea and Sandeman:
Keith Goddard head chef of 101 Pimblico Road. Keith has previously worked for Tom Aitkens in his world famous michelin starred restaurant. Keith became head chef of 101 Pimblico Road in December 2009 and has been instrumental in the growing success of the restaurant.
Cara Pinsent top quality private chef, working nationally and internationally for the past eight years for a variety of high-end clients. Based in Battersea, Cara has been instrumental in helping set up a deli at Chelsea Gas Works with friend and fellow chef.
Katie Neilsonorganised a concert at Catton Hall on the 18th March. It was an evening of good food, good wine and good music! Tickets cost a very very reasonable £15 and included the concert, wine and canapes. All of the musicians donated their time for free. The programme included Show Music by ‘Fusion’, an off-shoot of Burton Operatic Society, Piano and Piano and Flute Duets by Philip and Margaret, and finally, highly talented sisters Emily and Abbeygale Watson entertained with a mixture of popular music on the Trombone and Tenor Horn.
Stephanie Rutherford& Claire Brakeheld a HUGE Designer Sample Clothes Sale from March the 3rd to the 5th. The entry fee went straight to Too Many Women and they also had a rail of clothes donated by designers and friends with the funds raised from those also also being donated to Too Many Women. Their sale eben made it into the Time Out listings!
Amanda Crossley & Team organised a sale on the 12 March.
February:
Selina Hoareheld a HUGE Libelula sale with 50% off on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th February with 10% of all sales being donated to TMW. The event raised nearly £1,500!
Romilly Dennys signed-up to run in the Tunbridge Wells Half Marathon in February. She was all set to run the Santa 5K in Hyde Park on the 5 December with fellow TMW friends, Anna Holder and Tori Bellhouse, but the snow meant the run was cancelled. Good on them for not letting this get in the way of their fundraising and for taking on an even bigger challenge! She has raised £460 so far:http://www.justgiving.com/Romilly-Dennys
Christianne Davies organised a piano recital by Alexandra Dariescu on the 15th February at an intimate venue on Queen’s Gate Terrace. Tickets were £15 per person and included a glass of wine. Alexandra is an incredible pianist who has won lots of awards including most recently the Guildhall Wigmore Prize, the Verbier Festival CUBS prize and the Romanian Ambassador’s Award for Excellence in Music. The programme will include Mozart, Schumann, Liszt/Wagner, Ravel and Chopin.
Kate Newton held a Singles Night on the 15th February and raised £1,300
Browns launched their new ‘Club Monaco’ collection in style on the 16th February by hold a posering challenge in London. Teams armed with posters of the new collection headed-out into the night and stuck them all over London with Browns donating £1 for every poster displayed. Lucy Priddenheld a ‘Too Many Clothes’ Sale on the 30 October.The event took place at Plough Studios SW4Lucy arranged a fabulous fashion clearance sale with fantastic discounts. Designers and boutiques participating in the sale included Austique, Donna Ida, Lotus London, Mimi Bijoux and Wilbur & Gussie. The sale ran from 12 noon until 6pm with an exclusive preview hour from 11 until 12. The preview was limited to 50 places and tickets cost £10, from noon entrance was then charged at £2.00 and she raised over £500.
Chrissie Douglas & Coleman Douglas Pearlsteamed-up with Rockfish Wellies to celebrate their 21st anniversary and they did this in a very special way, with the launch of a limited edition ‘wellies in pearls’ collection created exlusively for Too Many Women. Kinvara Careyheld a Great Big Book Workshop on the 28 October! It was held at the Music House for Children from 10AM – 12PM and included a book reading by celebrated children’s author and illustrator Emma Chichester Clark, as well as musical story-telling, a workshop and refreshements. Tickets cost £12 per child and all money was donated to TMW.
Vanessa Webbheld a private Halloween screening of The Shining on the 27 October and raised a scarily fantastic £500!

Georgie Llewelynorganised a ‘Call My Bluff’ Wine-Tasting Evening with an auction (one of which was an amazing week-long holiday in a 3 bedroom cottage in the Southwest of France!). Tickets cost £25 with £20 from each ticket being donated to the charity. It took place on the 22 October and raised over £5000.
Fiona Philips & Phoebe Sprinzheld a line dancing evening on the 22 October! They had the best teacher in the business to show all theose cowboys and cowgirls how to push their tushes! The night was a rootin’ tootin’, barn-storming success and over £2500 was raised!Tickets cost £25 per person and entitled buyers to 1 free drink on arrival and hot dogs / pizzas to keep them going throughout the evening! There was also a prize for the best dressed.
Lucie Needhamorganised a huge clothes sale on the 20 October at a private room at the Cod. The venue was donated for free so all money raised went towards their target and they raised a fantastic £4,500!

Annabel Novis held a private screening at the Coronet for 400 people on the 14 October of the new film ‘Wall Street – Money Never Sleeps’. The event raised an astonishing amount through ticket sales and then after 2 very moving speeches from TMW founder Catriona Blampied and an emotional personal talk from breast cancer survivor Harry Flanagan the audience dug deep and helped to push the funds raised up over the £20K mark to an inspiring £21,945 !!!Thank you to Annabel’s sponsors Strutt & Parker and William & Sons for their generous donations and also to all of you that came and along and showed your support for making breast cancer a fear of the past.

Margy Fenwick’sAssociate Bryony Cainorganised a Nearly New Clothes Sale at Benton Hall on the 3 October. On sale were clothes, shoes and accessories. In addition to clothes selling there was also cheese and wine, breast screening, an image consultant to advise on colours/shapes etc and a life coach. They raised over £1,500!
Colette King & Rawdon De Fresneshosted a private film screening on the 3 October of the upcoming Bill Hicks movie, which included an exclusive Q&A session with the Director.

Gillian Hendersonhad a Pamper Day on the 25 September. There were 4 therapists (massages, reflexology, pedicures, manicures, facials etc…) and they sold clothes, bags and jewellery. There was also a BBQ selling hamburgers and hot dogs and a lady held 2 sessions of a new dance class called Zumba. Gillian also amazingly organised for a professional film makeup artist to do 2 work shops! The day raised a fantastic £1,029!

Sophie Rogerson & Teamorganised an exclusive shopping evening on 9 September to celebrate the launch of the new flagship LK Bennett store in Sloane Square. Guests enjoyed champagne and a 10% discount on EVERYTHING from the new autumn range. A further 10% of everything sold on the night was very kindly donated by LK Bennett to Too Many Women. Vanessa Barneby Gates & Tabitha Akers-Douglasheld an incredible House Sale on the 2 September from 10 – 12 & then 2 – 5 pm at 30 Orminston Grove, London. On sale were gorgeous dip-dyed 100% cashmere shawls, beautiful leather accessories, gold-plated, gold-filled, silver & semi-precious stone jewellery and pencil/chalk drawings of children with 10% of every sale going directly to the charity . Colette King & Rawdon De Fresnes held their annual Wakeboarding Festival over the Bank Holiday weekend and this year supported TMW with it’s own Tea Tent!
Claire Moorman and Vicky Nute held a ‘Flutter Free Walk’ from Totnes to Dartmouth on the 29 August.
Siobhan Machin & Charlotte Machin organised a Fete/Market at their local village hall on the 29 August selling second-hand clothes, toys, books and any unwanted items. After all, one man’s junk is another man’s treasure!
Johanna Lunn cycled around the Isle of Wight on the 21st August! The 62 miles turned into 70 miles due to a couple of wrong turns and her idea that the Isle of Wight would be flat and that the weather would be good in August were both very wrong! Winky Skevington organised a brilliant all day & night music festival with camping, on the 24th July and raised approx. £1000. It was held in Aberdeenshire in her village called Oyne, so the event was aptly named “Get Oyne it”! She was raising her money through ticket sales, food (spit roast, pizza, pasta and other good homely foods) and through the bar. The Brompton Club held their 2nd Too Many Women Tuesday evening on the 20th, with drinks, special acts and bands.
Sophie Rogerson hosted drinks on 15 July from 7.30 PM ’til late at the newly opened Coalition Bar on Fulham Road. The cost was £10 on the door with 100% of this being donated to TMW. The venue also kindly offered to donate 10% of bar sales from the night to TMW. They raised a brilliant £1300 in just a few hours. Smatts International Polo Event on Sunday 4 July at Berkshire Polo Club held an auction in aid of TMW and raised an incredible £5,500 :
Harry Becher & Catriona Blampied’s SUMMER VILLAGE FETE took place on the 3 July and raised £350.The Fete was opened by Wellard from Eastenders and as well as lots of stalls had living Morris Dancers, Apple Bobbing, Coconut Shy, Strongest Man Competition, Gypsy Fortune Tellers, Voodoo Mini Spa, DJs, BBQ, Brass Band, Guess the weight of the local Vicar, Punch and Judy, Kissing Booth, Cider Drink-Off and much much more …. We’ll let you know how much was raised from the day shortly!Below is Oliver Rampley’s incredible Too Many Women Pie! This huge pie weighed 306.25 ounces and made 42 adult portions. Nearly £200 was raised with a ‘Guess the weight of the Pie’ competition.

Becks Sainthill held a Summer Circus Party at the Cobden Club on Friday 11 June from 8 PM – 3AM. They had exclusive use of the venue, a whole host of DJs, an amazing auction, a flying circus band, burlesque acts and cicrcus performers! Grania Gregson organised a bank holiday Monday ‘Stately’ car boot sale on the 31 May. Bunny Campione from the Antiques Roadshow and the auctioneer James Grinter of Reeman Dansie attended to value items. It was a fantastically fun day out for the whole family, with a BBQ, bouncy castle, donkey rides and plenty of great finds! To date Grania has raised an INCREDIBLE £4,243 (not including Gift Aid)!
Helen Priday held a very lovely Cotswolds Scavenger Hunt on the 30 May. She had been given access to 10 of the most beautiful and privately owned Gardens in the Cotswolds. Anna Casdegli had her Easter Egg Hunt on the 30 March in Ladbroke Grove Communal Gardens and despite the rain and the event only costing £4 a child, Anna raised a fantastic £165.30 and has received lots of lovely emails from parents saying how much fun their kids had.
Bee Rice held a car boot sale in Chiswick and also had a stall at Portebelllo Market filled with her unwanted clothes , books, kids toys and general bric-a-brack! This simple fundraising idea raised £500!
Rachel Lee held a special private preview screening of the film ‘The Blind Side’ on Sunday 7 March at Cineworld, on Fulham Road with all ticket sales being donated to TMW.
