As part of the London Design Festival, a group of designers were commissioned to create an interactive ‘event’ to celebrate design & technology, sponsored by Audi. They came up with the idea to use robotic arms from the Audi car production line to write messages in light on Trafalgar Square. The interactivity comes from members of the public submitting messages for the robots to write. Too Many Women was submitted by one of our amazing Ambassadors, Jennifer Holl and was ‘written’ on Trafalgar Square on the morning of the 22 September!

Breakthrough Breast Cancer has launched Too Many Women, a social media campaign to raise funds for the charity and backed by celebrities including actors Gwyneth Paltrow, Scarlett Johansson and Sienna Miller. The campaign hopes to recruit 201 ‘ambassadors’ to raise £500 each this year and recruit nine friends to do the same – making a total of 2,010 people.

Readers of the magazine were invited to sign up for Too Many Women and help raise money for our important cause. The article read:
The campaign was launched by friends Catriona Blampied and Harry Becher, and aims to raise over £1,000,000 for the charity through fundraising events such as a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, dog walking or baking. The idea behind the campaign is for 201 ‘ambassadors’ to sign up and raise £500 in the year 2010, with nine friends doing the same, in order to reach the total amount.
