To all the kind and generous people who gave money to this cause

I whooped with joy upon hearing that we had hit our target.

Thank you for the generosity of everyone, all donations big and small counted vitally and the money raised is even now helping doctors and scientists to fight this disease and to ease the pain of those suffering with it.

The biggest thanks to Nyree who must be an extraordinary woman to undertake to shave her head for the cause. It is an act of such grace and bravery and I am in awe.

And an even bigger thanks to Bonnie who has made all this possible and put in hours and hours of time which has made the thing happen in the first place.

I think my fans and followers are unbelievably cool.

I know I am a very lucky girl indeed.

Auction now OPEN!

Our charity auction is now OPEN!

We have loads of stuff available, including props from the BBC series Tipping the Velvet, as well as a DVD of the mini-series signed and personalised by Rachael Stirling, a Lip Service DVD signed and personalised by Fiona Button, signed photos of the two actresses, and the chance to MEET Rachael Stirling and have tea with her at the Savoy Hotel in London.

Auction of Tipping the Velvet props

Rachael Stirling is auctioning off some of the props from the BBC mini-series “Tipping the Velvet” (2002), in which she played the lead role of Nan Astley / King. All proceeds from the auction will go towards her £5,000 target for the Too Many Women campaign.
